Captain Volleyball

Captain Volleyball is a german band from the region Homburg/Zweibrücken (Saarland/Rhineland-Palatinate), founded in spring 2006 by Sascha Grub (guitar, vocals) and Matthias Roos (drums). After a few month of inital practicing Marco Divic (bass) joined the band. He and Matthias already played together in the band "Mel Jack" previously.

After a half year of songwriting the band played its first shows in autumn/winter 2006 and spent time recording the first demo EP "Long Term Solution", which was produced and released by themselves.

In the following year Captain Volleyball played lots of gigs in south west Germany and had airplay in the shows "Netzparade" (DAS DING), "SOUNDCHECK" (MDR Radio Sputnik) and other web radios.

In 2009 they released their second EP "Anyway, What's Meant To Last", which was the last recording, so far, as every member moved to different cities.

Maddes is the solo recording project of Matthias Roos (Saarbrücken, Saarland, Germany). Started around the year 2000 with unreleased Hip-Hop tracks, the project's sound changed greatly as Matthias focused musically on drumming in the bands "Mel Jack" and "Captain Volleyball".

In 2007, progress resulted in the first release of the demo EP "All In Due Course". Acoustic instruments, singing and calm were added to electronic and groovy remains.

Besides the help of Marco Divic with electric bass parts, Matthias writes and produces all songs himself. Currently he is working on his first full length record, which is planned to be released in 2011.

The history of Nanny Goat reaches back to 1997 after a couple of teenage girls decided to start a punk rock band in the oldest city of Germany. After a change in line up in 2001 Nanny Goat recorded their first album "Too Many Love Songs".

In 2002 the German label Roadmovie Productions got an eye on the Goats and signed and supported the production of the second album “Superficial depths”. The album was recorded in Liverpool and released in March 2003 on Roadmovie Productions.

Subsequently and with a new man on the guitar “Nanny Goat” went on their first tour around Germany together with their “label colleagues” Ashes of Pompeii.

Their latest album "Rise Apollo" was recorded in 2009 and is now available for free on Aerostat Records.

One girl and four boys from Trier celebrate a tasty, extremly melodic Alternative Rock brew. Being an established and loved live act all over their area since years, Nanny Goat shout out: "We are back!" The rest of the country will fall apart to their melancholic little pieces of Rockgold soon. If you like punk influenced Indie-Rock (female fronted!), you should give this one a try.

Soft Plastic is an Austrian band project. Founded in 2010 and started originally as a solo project from Marco Divic (bass player "Captain Volleyball").

Half a year later, when these songs were almost finished and ready to release, he met his neighbour, Nina Leinwatter, in his home town.

She played some guitar and had started to sing, Marco was impressed with her voice and came up with the idea to involve her as a singer in his solo project. Firstly as, feat. ("Violently Cabal Pal"), then as a full member in a newborn band "Soft Plastic".

The band Karlsson from Zweibrücken (Rhineland-Palatinate) was founded by Daniel Honecker, Thomas Plagemann and Austen Englisch in summer 2006. Influenced by various Alternative Rock bands the three wrote songs and recorded a first demo by themselves.

Subsequently the band played shows in clubs and on open-air festivals until Austen decided to leave Karlsson in 2009.

After a little break Jan Döllekes took his place at the drums. In 2011, after a longer phase of songwriting, the band captured their work in the studio. The resulting EP „The Summer Ends In May“ will be released on CD in 2012. More live shows are soon to be announced.
